About Me

I play fingerstyle slide guitar, acoustic and electric. My first teachers were the great blues players of the Mississippi Delta and the Piedmont -- Muddy Waters, John Hurt, Gary Davis, Robert Johnson, Blind Blake -- and such classic country players as Sam MacGee, Doc Watson, Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, and Jerry Reed. Besides playing solo, I also perform as a duo with my mentor George Worthmore and with the Divebombers, a vintage rockabilly trio based in Sarasota, Florida.

My solo CD contains an eclectic blend of sources and styles ranging from the intricate proto-blues of Blind Arthur Blake, to the granddaddy of country guitar, Sam McGee, and American composer John Phillips Sousa. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

We just recorded our first Divebombers CD in Nashville in October 2017. It features our current favorites and will be available in early December 2017.
